TOLEDO, Ohio, January 20, 2010 – SSOE Group, one of the nation’s leading EPCM firms, announced that Michelle Mack, RA, NCARB, recently earned her architectural license. Mack, an Architect in SSOE’s Facilities group, has more than 6 years of professional design experience. Her project experience includes schematics, design / development, construction documentation, shop drawing review, and lead designer for clients such as Toyota, Marathon Oil, and Volkswagen. Mack received her Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Architecture Degrees from the University of Michigan.
In order to become a registered architect, Mack had to pass 9 exams, have a professional degree from an NAAB-accredited program, and complete the Intern Development Program (IDP). The IDP is approximately 3 years of on the job experience consisting of training units in 16 different categories, such as programming, site and environmental analysis, construction documents, specifications and materials research, and project management. The Architect Registration Exam evaluates candidate’s knowledge, skills, and ability to provide the various services required in the practice of architecture.
