TOLEDO, Ohio, July 2, 2019 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, is proud to announce the promotion of Ashwin Shetty, PMP, from Construction Section Manager to India Business Leader.
In this new role, Ashwin is responsible for overall India operations, including supporting the firm’s targeted growth of in-country work and a better integration of teams across borders, allowing shared work responsibility and an increase in the resource pool for clients. Additionally, he is the liaison with U.S. corporate functions.
With more than 20 years of experience, Ashwin has an extensive project delivery background including field monitoring and construction management experience. He has served as the Owner’s Representative in large plant projects, while also providing project management oversight. Ashwin has also been vital to SSOE’s Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) efforts in India—playing an active role in proposal development, pricing strategy, project plans, and execution strategies for this work. In addition, he developed project manuals and quality documentation for India EPCM projects.
Ashwin’s new role begins as part of a thoughtfully timed succession plan with the departure of Operations Manager, Kaushal Shah, who is transitioning from SSOE over the next few months to assume leadership of his family’s manufacturing business. Regarding Ashwin’s promotion, Dan Vining, Senior Vice President, SSOE Systems / International stated, “I truly appreciate the practical project experience that Ashwin brings to the team. I have seen firsthand his ability to successfully lead project teams in the field, resulting in the accomplishment of significant safety milestones and excellence in project performance. I’m confident he will bring that same leadership in his new role providing guidance to SSOE’s India operations.”
Prior to joining SSOE, his project experience included projects for the Delhi Airport, Maruti Suzuki plant, and a Toyota plant. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
