ATLANTA, Georgia, November 2, 2021 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, is proud to announce their sponsorship of this year’s Transatlantic Business and Investment Council (TBIC) Conference “Jumpstarting Transatlantic FDI Recovery” on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
The firm, a Corporate Member of TBIC for nearly two years, has extensive experience helping clients navigate their first time building on U.S. soil. Foreign direct investment (FDI) from Europe has become one of the most important sources of manufacturing job growth in the U.S. TBIC plays an important role in providing a platform for local and regional economic development organizations (EDOs) and other members to connect with potential investors from Europe, utilizing a widely distributed membership and site directory, site certification, and conferences designed to connect to potential investors and multipliers. The TBIC team, members of the TBIC Advisory Council, as well as attendees from industry, politics, and research, will come together for this one-day conference that will provide extensive face-to-face interactions with the leading network of economic developers and site selection experts in the transatlantic marketplace.
SSOE’s Matthew Patterson, Senior Account Executive and Industrial Business Development for the firm’s Southeast U.S. Operations, will be in attendance at this year’s event. Patterson commented, “I’m excited to attend the upcoming TBIC Annual Conference as we look to provide solutions to international clients who are interested in expanding or setting up shop here in the U.S. SSOE has a long history of supporting manufacturers from all over the globe as they navigate construction in the U.S. We recently had the opportunity to support European-based GEDIA Automotive Group with their new advanced manufacturing facility in Georgia—providing planning, design, and owner’s rep services for the company’s second U.S. plant.”
The conference will have an intensified focus on capacity building. In interactive workshops, attendees will engage with leading experts on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) marketing, site selection, workforce development, digital advertising, and more. Additionally, participants will learn more about the current state-of-play of key European markets and industries and prepare themselves for a “return to normal” for international FDI attraction.
Patterson continued, “Our partnership with TBIC magnifies our opportunities to connect with these potential investors; in fact, over the last 18 months, it has yielded several FDI opportunities with TBIC-supported companies in SSOE’s target sectors, including the electric vehicle supply chain. We look forward to continuing to grow this mutually beneficial relationship to help support European clients navigate construction in the U.S.”
