APRIL 27, 2009, TOLEDO, OHIO – SSOE, Inc. one of the nation’s largest architecture and engineering firms, has been named to top spots in recently released 2009 national rankings. The lists were issued by three independent national trade publications: Engineering News Record (ENR), Modern Healthcare, and Commercial Construction Magazine.
ENR ranked SSOE 103rd among the top 500 design firms, up two spots from 2008. In addition, the firm was ranked 71st among the top 100 pure design firms, as compared to 73rd in 2008, and 14th among the top 20 manufacturing design firms nationwide. SSOE was ranked 21st in manufacturing in 2008.
According to Tony Damon, President and CEO of SSOE, the rankings reinforce the steps the company has taken to remain at the top of the A/E industry. “SSOE continues to be nimble and responsive to the needs of our clients. Our philosophy of putting the best interests of our clients first is what drives our strategy.”
Besides the ENR standings, SSOE was ranked third nationally by Commercial Construction Magazine for total billings among commercial engineers and fifth in the nation in total commercial projects among commercial architects. In addition, Modern Healthcare Magazine recently listed SSOE among the top 100 architectural firms serving the healthcare industry nationwide.
That ranking was a result of Modern Healthcare’s March, 2009 construction and design survey. SSOE’s expertise in healthcare design includes, but is not limited to, emergency centers, acute care hospitals, women’s centers, long-term care facilities and medical office buildings.
