Bierschbach, Collier, Woodgate, and Myers will conduct a panel “Weaving Technology Strategy into Business Planning” on Tuesday, November 14 at 4:00 p.m. PST. In this session, SSOE leadership will share their experiences regarding the firm’s technology journey. They will share how SSOE employed a flexible formula to balance technology pace with their annual planning needs. They will also discuss their current state, continuous improvement ideas, business drivers, and how the firm is embracing new technologies. The group will talk about the pace of change and tools and partnerships and how these bring both opportunities and obstacles to projects and staff. Attendees will learn how to compare challenges and opportunities with technology adoptions and validate ideas to implement. Additionally, they will explore leadership and project tactics for technology adoption and change management and will be presented with specific examples of operations and technology collaborative projects.
LaBell and Lewis will present “More Money, Less Problems: The Next Episode on How SSOE Uses Autodesk Construction Cloud Build” on Wednesday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m. PST. In this session, attendees will hear how SSOE has leveraged the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Autodesk Build suite of tools to reduce time spent performing non-value-added tasks. LaBell and Lewis will discuss how SSOE has deployed the RFI, Submittals, AutoSpec, Meeting Minutes, and Schedule modules to minimize risk on projects and streamline fragmented activities. They will also demonstrate how to use the Reports module to generate automated reminders and executive and owner summaries. Processes will be showcased that have been vetted on projects ranging from outpatient surgery centers to school renovations to semiconductor and battery factories. Attendees will learn how to create standardized templates, workflows, and training materials to ensure a smooth rollout process for ACC. They will also discover how to use data in a constructive manner for improved quality and enterprise resource planning. Additionally, they will hear about the configuration of RFIs, Submittals, AutoSpec, and Docs for single or multi-company workflows and how to configure the Reports and Data Connector modules for tracking, closure, quality metrics and dashboard creation.
Malcolm and Bolbach, along with Autodesk’s Technical Solutions Executive, Justin Lipsey, will present “Automating Autodesk Construction Cloud Admin: Closing the Gap Between What We Have and What We Need” on Wednesday, November 15 at 4:00 p.m. PST. In this session, attendees will hear how Autodesk Platform Services assists in the daily administration of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), a time-consuming and complex task that requires constant attention. They will also discover how the same application can be used to help manage projects and ensure security. The presentation team will share how SSOE developed streamlined automations and integrations between ACC, ERP, and other software applications to extend the capabilities of ACC, enhancing productivity and improving the user experience. Further, attendees will learn how SSOE automates routine tasks, such as project creation, user management, access control, and reporting to free up valuable time and resources; how it uses Autodesk Platform Services API endpoints to automate routine administrative tasks in ACC; and about the benefits of integrating ACC with ERP systems to improve the user experience. Additionally, attendees will gain insight into the security benefits of automating access control tasks in ACC and explore ways to extend the capabilities of ACC through automation and enhance overall productivity.
