HUNTSVILLE, Alabama, August 13, 2021 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, is proud to announce their sponsorship of the 2021 Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Huntsville Chapter’s Technology CEU Day—“Exploring Technology Impacting the AEC Industry”—on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Attendees can earn up to five continuing education units (CEUs) and enjoy lunch courtesy of CSI Huntsville and SSOE while they examine how the industry and practice are changing as a result of new and emerging technologies and methodologies.
SSOE’s Alyson Dinca, PMP, CSI, CDT, Senior Project Manager and President of the CSI Huntsville Chapter, organized the all-day event that takes place at The Atrium at Redstone Federal Credit Union at 220 Wynn Drive NW in Huntsville from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM CT. Dinca shared, “CSI brings together our AEC industry partners, and we are so excited to have such a fantastic lineup of speakers to highlight the dynamic impacts of how technology is used, how it is changing, and what emergent technologies present disruptions to our practice. Through CSI, we get to connect with and learn from professionals across the industry that are passionate about what they do and how they do it!”
EcoDomus CEO and Co-Founder Igor Starkov will present the keynote, titled “Implementing Digital Twins of Facilities and Infrastructure: Lessons Learned.” Starkov brings particular expertise in digital twins and BIM for FM workflow analysis and in creating applications that combine relational databases with analytical and visualization capabilities. While there have been dozens of projects showing the benefits of BIM and digital twin for facility lifecycle, 95% of organizations aren’t doing much to implement the new workflows and technologies. In 2020, SSOE set an aggressive goal to become 50% more efficient in the delivery of projects by 2025 through integrated people, Lean process, and new technology. SSOE strives to advance meaningful capital project delivery efficiency gains through exploring and adopting advanced tools and processes, associated with data digitization, utilization, and consumption, to—as the firm’s recently updated mission states—deliver unparalleled client value that advances the AEC industry. By partnering with vendors, partners, and other consultants from across the industry, SSOE seeks to leverage the knowledge and problem-solving potential of existing and emergent technologies to collaboratively deliver successful projects that meet the evolving needs of their collective clients.
A full program agenda can be viewed here. Attendees can register for this event here (deadline to register is 7 AM CT on Tuesday, August 17, 2021). Registration is free to attendees with an active membership with CSI National and $40 for non-members.
