TOLEDO, Ohio, May 5, 2020 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, has partnered with American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent and accessible primary care, to provide A/E services on franchise projects across the United States, increasing access to healthcare for Americans. AFC selected SSOE for these projects due to their full-service capabilities.
Like most, SSOE’s healthcare clients have continued seeing a shift towards a more accessible model and a need to address this movement. In an effort to further their mission of convenient patient-centric healthcare, AFC and SSOE partnered to open these urgent care clinics, helping reach beyond the barriers of the traditional physician office to offer evening, weekend, and holiday hours that don’t require appointments.
Project Manager Michelle Alfieri said, “SSOE has been working through the Franchisor (AFC) to engage with franchisees on these urgent care clinics. We have been able to educate them about corporate standards, branding, etc. I particularly enjoy working with the new franchisees to help them understand how the process works. These are typically short projects with tight budgets, so these relationships are key. AFC has kept us busy with 36 projects over the last year alone, and we look forward to working with them on many more in the near future.”
To date, 8 clinics have been completed and constructed with their doors currently open, with another 28 in various stages. These projects are all over the U.S., spanning more than 10 states.
SSOE’s highly trained and accredited healthcare team includes professionals who excel at all stages of healthcare projects—including strategic master planning, architecture, engineering, and interior design. SSOE has experience providing these services to all types of healthcare facilities such as cancer centers, acute care hospitals, community hospitals, academic medical centers, specialty clinics, labs, medical office buildings, and urgent care clinics.
