TOLEDO, Ohio, August 18, 2017 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management is proud to announce their re-certification as a “Great Workplace” by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work®. SSOE earned this credential based on exemplary ratings provided by their employees in an anonymous survey.
“My focus since becoming CEO has been on four key areas: Clients, Culture, Collaboration, and Employees,” said Bob Howell, President and CEO of SSOE Group. “I firmly believe that these four areas are the leading indicators of our success and our financial performance is a lagging indicator, basically the numbers come last. As an organization, we’ve dedicated countless hours to creating a culture our employees will thrive in, so I’m particularly gratified to see us being honored two years in a row as a Great Workplace. It’s more than an award for us, it’s a confirmation that our efforts are having a real impact. We saw improvement in each category this year, reinforcing that we are only getting better. I’m extremely excited and pleased that we’ve received this honor again from Great Place to Work®.”
In the past year alone, SSOE has grown significantly and expanded its staff by more than 10%. Furthermore, during the first three quarters of its 2017 fiscal year, SSOE has experienced its highest revenue in the company’s 69-year history.
Kim Peters, Vice President of Great Place to Work’s Recognition Program, praised SSOE saying, “We applaud SSOE Group for seeking certification and releasing its employees’ feedback. These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace — critical metrics that anyone considering working for, or doing business with, SSOE should take into account as an indicator of high performance.”
“According to our study, 85% of SSOE employees say it is a great workplace,” says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Great Place to Work Certification and List Production.
SSOE offers its U.S.-based employees an extensive list of benefits programs and employee perks that contributed to recognition as a great workplace. These include: flexible scheduling, buy / sell paid time off (PTO) option to buy up to 40 hours of additional PTO or to sell up to 80 hours of PTO, subsidized gym memberships, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan that matches 50% of employee contributions up to 6%. In addition, SSOE offers additional work perks such as SSOE swag for new employees, BRAVO employee recognition program, a one-day SSOE Experience class that introduces new employees to the organization, employee appreciation clubs and volunteerism programs as well as career progression. According to the Great Place to Work survey, more than 94% of employees cited that the company offers great challenges, 95% cited a great atmosphere, 96% cited great pride, 93% cited great rewards, and 93% say SSOE has great bosses.
