TOLEDO, Ohio, March 14, 2024 – SSOE Group, an architecture and engineering firm ranked the #2 Manufacturing Design Firm by industry-leading Engineering News-Record, is excited to announce that Perlita Schorfheide, PE, CCM, PMP, has joined the firm as Vice President, Program Manager. Schorfheide officially joined the company on March 4, 2024, reporting to Senior Vice President Scott Bussell in the firm’s Complex Projects Division.
With a remarkable 30-year tenure in project delivery, Schorfheide has honed her expertise in building and leading global teams to successfully manage complex projects with demanding schedules and diverse stakeholder groups. Her extensive experience spans across various industries, including solar, electric vehicle (EV) / battery, commercial, educational, medical, public infrastructure, and pharmaceuticals.
Before joining SSOE, Schorfheide was a pivotal figure at her previous firm where she dedicated 23 years to various leadership roles. Her most recent position as Senior Project Director saw her overseeing a portfolio of design projects for EV and photovoltaic (PV) / solar manufacturing facilities—demonstrating her adeptness in advanced manufacturing markets.
As SSOE embarks on increasingly ambitious and intricate projects, Schorfheide’s role will be instrumental in guiding project management teams to deliver exceptional results. Her responsibilities will also include nurturing the firm’s talent and expanding its capabilities in this realm following its significant growth in battery / EV projects and increasing project work in the solar market based on the firm’s technical capabilities. Based in Philadelphia, Schorfheide will work remotely while collaborating with teams across the organization and traveling as needed.

Schorfheide is an alumnus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned her Master of Science in Civil Engineering. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines. A registered Professional Engineer (PE) in multiple states and a holder of prestigious certifications such as project management certification (PMP), certified construction manager (CCM), and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), Schorfheide’s qualifications are a testament to her commitment to excellence.
