LEÓN, Mexico, January 21, 2022 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, is proud to announce continued growth and investment in their Mexico operations. That growth has resulted in expanding and renovating current office space in León, Guanajuato to accommodate our growing team and creating a more flexible and collaborative office for our employees. Additionally, staff will move toward a permanent hybrid / collaborative office model in the near future. SSOE’s León office is now the firm’s third largest office behind their Toledo, Ohio headquarters and Portland, Oregon location.
Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, over the past two years SSOE’s Mexico operations has doubled in size and now employs over 80 employees—resulting in the need to acquire additional space within their current building. A significant portion of the growth was a result of the total engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) work performed and the firm diversifying their portfolio of in-country clients. SSOE’s Mexico operations are also providing expanded markets for talent to allow the firm to grow their global design teams.
SSOE’s Brad Rowe, CCWP, Vice President and Principal Division Manager – Mexico Operations, stated, “Over the last few years, we had a unique opportunity to expand our design and construction management services in Mexico by more strategically supporting our U.S. and European-based clients with complete project delivery, including design and on-site support for clients unable to travel due to COVID restrictions. Our services provided SSOE’s clients with a more cost-effective approach and gave us the ability to be immediately responsive with our growing concentration of in-country resources. By leveraging design technology, including Autodesk’s BIM 360 platform, we were able to connect global stakeholders through all phases of their project, no matter where in the world those stakeholders were sitting.”
Regarding the new hybrid / collaborative office model, Rowe shared, “We are leveraging what we learned through COVID to move toward a permanent hybrid office model where staff will have the option to work in-office and from home. Employees will spend dedicated time each week in the office, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week if they choose. We are excited about our new office environment and believe this added flexibility will be beneficial to employees and further separate us as an ‘employer of choice’ in the local market.”
SSOE has been delivering projects in Mexico for over 20 years.
