TOLEDO, Ohio, April 8, 2025 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), an internationally ranked architecture and engineering firm, announced today that two employees earned professional licensures and nine earned professional certifications during the second quarter of SSOE’s 2025 planning year. Attainment of professional licensures and certifications is strongly encouraged at SSOE. To become licensed, engineers must complete a four-year college degree, work under a Professional Engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams, and earn a license from their state’s licensure board. Then, to retain their licenses, PEs must continually maintain and improve their skills throughout their careers.
James Adams, PE, Mechanical Engineer, recently earned his professional engineering license. James is a Vanderbilt University graduate with a bachelor’s and master’s in engineering. He works in SSOE’s Nashville, Tennessee office and supports the firm’s Facilities operations with his 15 years of experience.
Scott Malone, PE, Structural Engineer, also recently earned his professional engineering license. Scott is a University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate with a bachelor’s and master’s in engineering, respectively. He works in SSOE’s Nashville, Tennessee, office and supports the firm’s Building Design Group operations with his six years of experience.
