TOLEDO, Ohio, October 11, 2023 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), an internationally ranked architecture and engineering firm, is excited to announce that Vince DiPofi, PE, SSOE’s Chief Executive Officer, will jointly lead an online webinar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) webinar series called “AI for AEC.”
DiPofi will join Mehdi Nourbakhsh, Ph.D., the author of “Augment It” and Chief Executive Officer of YegaTech, a technology consulting company in the architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate industries. During this course, which will be held on October 25th from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (EST), Nourbakhsh will demonstrate a framework by which participants can create a plan and implement AI into their firm to accelerate their business strategy. Additionally, attendees will hear a first-hand account from DiPofi on SSOE’s experience through the process.
DiPofi commented on SSOE’s AI journey, stating, “AI is truly impacting the future of our industry. If firms want to succeed, they must embrace it. We, as a firm, are on our journey and are scaling up our efforts to integrate this technology within our company to gain efficiencies for improved automation and greater standardization. Additionally, AI—if done properly—can help solve the engineering shortage that many firms are experiencing today. Stops on our journey to date have included establishing a data ethics policy and data strategy as well as hiring YegaTech as our AI and technology consultant. We are also in the process of creating an AI Language Model policy, among other initiatives.”
Nourbakhsh commented “Now is the right time, the right moment to start building and experimenting with AI to bring tremendous value to AEC companies and the industry. YegaTech is extremely excited to be with SSOE on their journey to help form an AI taskforce, develop a portfolio of AI opportunities, enhance the culture of innovation, and create an environment that works more efficiently with the use of data, AI technology, and automation so they can increase capacity and gain additional market share and momentum in the industries they serve. I believe the top 5% of AEC companies in the future will be those that are heavily invested in their data and AI.”
