TOLEDO, Ohio, August 2, 2023 — SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), an internationally ranked architecture and engineering firm, is proud to announce its annual Engineering News-Record (ENR) rankings. ENR serves as one of the leading engineering and construction news publications and recently published this year’s Top 500 Design Firms Sourcebook providing market analysis and rankings of the largest U.S.-based AEC firms according to revenue for design services performed in 2022.
Powering Up the Battery Market
This year, SSOE earned the #2 Manufacturing Design Firm ranking—jumping three spots from #5 in 2022. This ranking represents a wide array of SSOE’s markets and clients, but this year’s climb can be attributed to the firm’s rapidly expanding portfolio in the lithium-ion battery and electric vehicle (EV) supply chain. The company is currently engaged in over 25 battery / EV projects in North America and has designed over 18 million SF of battery plants.
In addition to securing top rankings in key markets, three of SSOE’s projects were highlighted in ENR’s Sourcebook—Ford Motor Company’s Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center in Stanton, Tennessee, which was featured as the cover story; KORE Power’s KOREPlex Battery Cell Production Facility in Buckeye, Arizona; and Panasonic’s Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Campus in De Soto, Kansas.
