SSOE Acquires Martell Associates Healthcare Architecture, Inc.
SSOE is proud to announce that we have acquired healthcare design firm Martell Associates Healthcare Architecture, Inc. The acquisition will benefit both companies and our clients by providing more resources and experience, as well as expanded geographic reach. SSOE has identified healthcare as a key market and has expanded organically to support recent successes nationally and locally. Martell’s additional project experience, expertise and client relationships will enhance our national healthcare design practice leveraging the experience of SSOE’s healthcare teams across the United States.
SSOE Offers Free PM Training to Clients and Staff
For anyone new to the project management role or anyone else who would like a formal refresher, SSOE is offering a two-day “Fundamentals of Project Management” workshop. This workshop is interactive and includes small group exercises, large group discussions, and instructor explanations. Participants will learn the five process phases of Project Management and how to apply them to projects.
This course follows best practices for Project Risk Management as outlined by the Project Management Institute (PMI®). In addition to SSOE employees, all clients (and future clients) are invited to attend free of charge.
In related news, SSOE recently sent a group of 20 through training for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. This certification is the formally recognized standard for project management expertise. PMP certification requires three years of PM experience with at least 4,500 hours spent leading and directing tasks. Participants from this program took the certification test in April and will receive certification in May.
