Responsible for oversight of SSOE’s Building Design Group, Robby Aull emphasizes the development of forward-looking practice groups and expert teams across all market segments. He has 31 years of experience in an architectural career focused on the operational understanding and subsequent architectural design of facilities to meet both the client’s goals and occupant needs. Robby is exceptionally skilled at fostering client relationships, front-end planning, and problem-solving for various types of facilities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Design and a Master of Architecture from Clemson University. His graduate education program focused on the programming and design of healthcare facilities, and he has a significant portfolio of outstanding work within the healthcare design industry. As a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects and former member of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health Board of Directors, Robby is recognized as an expert in the design of healthcare facilities.

Ron is a Principal Account Executive in SSOE’s Atlanta office. Ron founded Stang & Newdow Architects in the early 1980s, which combined practices with Stevens & Wilkinson in 2003, and merged with SSOE in 2021. With over 30 years of architectural experience, Ron is an authority in planning and designing commercial, government, higher education, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for his commitment to clients, listening to their vision and advocating for their needs to deliver the best project and design.

Girmay received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, and earned a Master of Architecture and Doctoral degree in Urban Design from Texas Tech University. He has enormous experience in the commercial, residential, hotel, education, office, and mixed-use building types. In addition, Girmay has participated in numerous master planning and urban design projects. He has a number of remarkable research experiences and has published several international conference papers and journals focused on sustainable environmental design through spatial configuration studies.

Davis’ educational experience includes primary, secondary, collegiate, and recreational facilities. He has a thorough understanding of project documents, construction administration, detailed design, scheduling work for completion, specifications writing, management, and detailed code.

Bill’s experience includes a broad range of project types including facilities for the state and local governments, corporations, and judicial. Bill is also very active with professional and community organizations including the America Institute of Architects, Georgia Association of State Facilities Administrators, Georgia Association of Physical Plant Administrators, Construction Owner’s Association of America, and several community boards.

Amy brings to SSOE a healthcare interior design and project management background. With over 17 years of experience in healthcare, ranging from interior design, project management, and relocation planning, Amy brings a unique skill set to SSOE. She specializes in acute care, outpatient, and diagnostic interior design. She is also experienced in providing comprehensive services such as furniture, finishes, equipment planning, and interior signage and artwork coordination. Dedicated to being involved with the advancement of the interior design industry, Amy is active in the International Interior Design Association, serving on the Alabama Chapter Board of Directors since 2017, and is currently serving as the Board President. Additionally, Amy recently received her certification as a Certified Healthcare Interior Designer.

He also participates in the building design and coordinates efforts between consultants and engineers. From early design through post-construction on the Glenn & Towers Residence Hall Renovation, Phil’s BIM expertise, building experience, and collaborative communication among designers, engineering consultants, and the contractor team were a key part of the success of this award-winning project for Georgia Tech.

Jeff designs with consideration for health, safety, efficiency, and economics utilizing materials and systems appropriate for their particular applications. His design and technical leadership provides architectural continuity throughout the project. Jeff is responsible for performing and directing others in the design of various industrial facilities. His additional responsibilities include developing project proposals, budgets, code reviews, construction cost estimates, and specifications as well as construction site visits and reviewing shop drawings. Jeff's activities pertain to new structures and modifications to existing facilities, performed to comply with local and national codes and regulations.

Dee brings over 30 years of experience to her projects and specializes in K-12, municipal, and higher education. As a Project Manager and Registered Architect, she oversees projects from design inception through the completion of construction for renovations, additions, and new builds. Dee promotes an inclusive, collaborative process, working closely with all stakeholders to find the best solution for each project. She strives to find the right balance of budget, schedule, and program to achieve the highest quality project, especially when those solutions can address multiple issues and opportunities in simple moves. She has extensive experience in architectural design and construction document production using BIM, specifications, and contract administration. Dee is an Autodesk Certified Professional for Revit Architecture and has over 20 years of experience using the software in her work. As one of our Firm’s code review and permitting specialists, she brings those extra talents to all her projects. She is passionate about building codes promoting health, safety, and welfare and can help our projects achieve resilience and sustainability. Dee is a dedicated member of AIA Georgia and AIA Atlanta, helping to organize and promote Georgia’s Building Codes Network and codes education for her fellow members. She regularly participates in the building codes adoption process at the National and State levels. She has served on several task forces for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs’ Construction Codes Group in the building codes adoption cycles. She has been given a Presidential Citation and the James G. Fausett FAIA Service to the Profession Award by her fellow AIA Atlanta members for her efforts in code education and adoptions. Dee is also a member of AIA National’s Codes & Standards Committee and the 2022 Chair.

Chris has a variety of experience on large-scale, site development projects, with responsibilities ranging from initial site planning and civil engineering design to construction management of facilities. David, an electrical designer, draws from his field experience and design intuition as a systems design specialist. He is responsible for design concepts, studies, design options, and establishing design criteria. He schedules and creates engineering budgets for each assigned project. David also monitors projects under construction ensuring the schedule, budget, and design are consistent with project criteria. He assists with problem solving in areas of security, CCTV, low voltage systems, and A/V components. He provides field engineering and construction management.

Chris has served as the lead mechanical engineer for many federal facilities, including single and joint-use reserve centers throughout the United States. He has designed HVAC and plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary, natural gas, compressed air, and roof drainage systems. As an accredited LEED Professional, he has guided project teams through the LEED certification process, with the highest achievement being LEED Silver Certification. Chris is also an expert in the fields of forensic investigation, hurricane damage assessment, energy modeling, site surveying / mapping, and ground water sampling / monitoring. Chris' strong attention to detail and ability to acquire new skills quickly are contributing factors to a project's success.

Dee brings over 30 years of experience to her projects and specializes in K-12, municipal, and higher education. As a Project Manager and Registered Architect, she oversees projects from design inception through the completion of construction for renovations, additions, and new builds. Dee promotes an inclusive, collaborative process, working closely with all stakeholders to find the best solution for each project. She strives to find the right balance of budget, schedule, and program to achieve the highest quality project, especially when those solutions can address multiple issues and opportunities in simple moves. She has extensive experience in architectural design and construction document production using BIM, specifications, and contract administration. Dee is an Autodesk Certified Professional for Revit Architecture and has over 20 years of experience using the software in her work. As one of our Firm’s code review and permitting specialists, she brings those extra talents to all her projects. She is passionate about building codes promoting health, safety, and welfare and can help our projects achieve resilience and sustainability. Dee is a dedicated member of AIA Georgia and AIA Atlanta, helping to organize and promote Georgia’s Building Codes Network and codes education for her fellow members. She regularly participates in the building codes adoption process at the National and State levels. She has served on several task forces for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs’ Construction Codes Group in the building codes adoption cycles. She has been given a Presidential Citation and the James G. Fausett FAIA Service to the Profession Award by her fellow AIA Atlanta members for her efforts in code education and adoptions. Dee is also a member of AIA National’s Codes & Standards Committee and the 2022 Chair.

He has extensive experience with unique projects involving energy recovery and photovoltaic, wind, and water power generation. In-house, David provides overall project supervision and guidance on a day-to-day basis. On-site, he offers several years of practical experience and problem solving capabilities. David also has extensive experience in trouble-shooting and system analysis with over 20 years of facility survey work which has provided him with exposure to a wide variety of systems and design concepts all across the country. David has worked with many of SSOE’s commercial clients on the renovations of their headquarters and office buildings. He knows what to look for and what to anticipate in a renovation project.
