Equal access and opportunity aren’t privileges, they are rights. In an increasingly diverse and global society, it is critical that we actively support those rights. SSOE is committed to facilitating and embracing diversity in our business practices in order to enhance our communities and meet our customer's needs.

At SSOE, we strive to provide opportunities for qualified minority-, women-, and disabled-owned companies, small businesses, and other diverse suppliers to compete for our business on a fair playing field. We also support the inclusion of other historically underutilized businesses (HUB).

In 2004, SSOE joined the Northern Ohio Minority Business Council, an affiliate of the national council, to formalize our efforts to promote national and regional economic growth and development to diverse supplier businesses. We encourage qualified companies to explore mutually beneficial relationships with SSOE.
